My thoughts on The Legend of Korra

Avatar: The Legend of Korra is a spin off of Avatar The Last Airbender and is set 70 years after the events  of The Last Airbender and boy do I not like this show....So far

I have now watched three episodes "Welcome to Republic City",A leaf in the Wind , and The Revelation. And I just don't like it maybe the bad taste of the Live-Action movie still haven't faded or maybe it's because I didn't want a spin-off I wanted to see what happened after the war...Wait not that is it I didn't want a spin off set so far off that nearly ever last character that I and other fans had grew to love are..dead ,and what are we left with Katara teasing us with the story of Zuko mother in the pilot episode

But it's not just the magic reset button I hate it"s also the character of Korra herself that rubs be the wrong away in the first two minutes of the show we see her as I don't know maybe a two three or four year out bending every element but air without an oz of training, isn't it suppose to take hard work for the avatar to master all four elements I guess not anymore more because she seems to have master level control of three elements form birth ,but not only that the one element she can't bend the one element we're going to see her learn where is we got to see Aang learn and master all other elements but is air,The one element beside water that she should have a natural bond with because water and air bending seemed to go together like peanut butter and jelly and since she is form the water tribe she should have been a water bender form birth but no air is the one element she has even been able to use.But it's not just her lag of airbending and instant master of all other element that bug me it's Korra herself you just don't get the since of wonder with her that you got with Aang sure she wasn't trap in ice for a one hundred years but she has been stuck locked up for year there should be some since that the world we're seeing for the first time is the world she's seeing for the first time as well but we don't get that what we do get is lots and lots of bending and foreshadowing for what's going to be the main plot of the show oh and also we get to see the love interest in the second episode so yeah there that

But even with all the said I was still willing to give this show the benefit of the doubt because of my love for the first show but then..then I saw something that make be rage I saw the skill the Aang learned because he hated the thought of killing the power to stop a person bending for good  being used so easily by the lead villain that just made me want to give up then and there ,even with that said I will still be watching at least the rest of the first season in hope of it turning around and for flashback peeking in the lives of character I do give a crap about

Bringing Back Toonami

Hey there Toonami Fateful I am the Strawhated one and I'm here to say we should being back toonami because I don't know about you but me I'm sick of endless reruns of the same anime over and over again for years and Bleach is if it haven't already is getting closer and, closer to the cut off point where it'll just be unbearable to watch on the Saturday programming block of [Adult Swim] .So I say bring back toonami not with the classic that aired on the April Fools run but new shows giving us toonami fateful and new fans a like a chance  to relive or see for the first time the greatness the was toonami with new shows like Fairy Tail, Historys Strongest Disciple Kenichi, Hajime no Ippo, High school of the Dead,  Infinite Stratos, Baka and Test -Summon Beast both 1 & 2, Deadman Wonder Land or, Hell maybe even the awful dub of One Piece that they were starting to show near the end.Maybe we don't watch anime on TV now because of the On Demand rise but maybe because there just isn't anime worst watching anymore

Write to them and show them that we are Tonnami Fateful and we want it Back

A Mini View At Ben-To

Ben-To isn't the first anime about food and it’s not the best, but it is one of the most enjoyable I've seen in awhile. But that being said the "Food “in Ben-To isn't what the show is really about you could easily replace the bento's with magic orbs or lost treasure, and the unlined theme would be the same "Honor" in battle the battle just happen to be over cheap food. That being said the anime does go much pass “I’m Hungry lets fight over this cheap food” you’ll have to look hard to find the underline theme because it’ll only shine through at  the very end of the anime and even then it’ll be gone just as fast as it came

The fights are enjoyable and fun to watch if not a little one sided at most if not all the time. Add to that characters each have their own traits that make them likable or unlikeable and great to see in interactions with one another.

And even with the seemly forced in "romantic" and ecchi moments that seem to pop up out of nowhere and disappear just as fast and the somewhat lack luster ending that just beg for it to get a second two. Ben-to is still one of my favorite new animes of the fall  season of 2011 and  I looked forward to each episode and one I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good fight anime with a passable  story that doesn’t do as deep as it could but still enjoyable
If you’re looking for some mostly mindless silly fun check out Ben-To

A StrawHated Look At Maken-Ki!

Maken Ki! is and anime based on a manga by Mangaka Hiromitsu Takada. The story fellows Takeru Ohyama a "normal everyday day teenagers with a perverted mind but perverted minds and teenage boys go hand and hand in the world of anime.Who upon his return to his hometown is accepted into a unknown High School  which before a few years ago was "girls only" which because this is a anime "girls only"was all he needed to hear who care about unknown there't going to be boobs!

Now I'm not too much of a fan of ecchi you would find me pining over Orihime bust or Nami no matter how much it's grown over the time skip....and my how it's grow ,but I don't mind it and I have never let it get in the way of my enjoyment of an anime even when it's only ecchi.

But to me Maken-Ki! Doesn’t walk that fine line I have for ecchi titles switch is be as ecchi as you like but have a good story to tell. On the surface the concept of Maken-Ki is is good “fighting with magical abilities in duels"but Maken-Ki lets that take a backseat to up skirt panties shots and closer ups of barely covered breast in near every scene with a female character. It also does the one of worst things you can to to the character that's suppose to be you lead you hero, and that is to me him weak and now even week in this new work he's been tossed into he's all around weak form getting his ass handed to him by every last female character to being unless in fights because most the run of the anime he doesn't even have one of the tilted Maken-Ki he's over used as comic relief in his own story .On the Female said of the main character you have you stock anime/manga females The childhood friend,The Forgotten Love,The Loli , And The Tsundere

My bottom line on Maken-Ki is that any anime that lets the story take a backseat so that they can give us nothing but endless fan service is worth my time
